Education for Ministry – EfM

WHAT: Education for Ministry (EfM) is a theological education program administered by Sewanee – The University of the South – School of Theology. Participants enroll for a one year at a time for up to four years total to complete the program.

WHEN: Weekly meetings throughout the year beginning in January with scheduled breaks on Tuesday evenings 7PM-9PM.

WHERE: This EfM group currently meets via Zoom and is considering safe, socially-distanced meetings on occasion.

WHO: EfM is hosted at St. Augustine’s but is not limited to our members. The program is intended for lay people who seek a deeper and more structured study of scripture, Church history and theological topics with others.

Through weekly discussions of reading materials and guided reflections on a variety of theological topics participants explore their faith and deepen their knowledge of Scripture and Church history. EfM fosters spiritual growth and Christian fellowship in a friendly, welcoming and non-judgmental environment. Students meet in small groups at churches around the country.

St. Augustine’s is welcoming new members to its Winter 2021 class. Please join us!
